Asmodee acquires Bergsala Enigma and strengthens its operations in Europe
Guyancourt (France); Copenhagen (Denmark); January 27th — The Asmodee Group announced today its’ acquisition of Bergsala Enigma, the leading boardgame and collectible card game distributor in the Nordics (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland) and the Netherlands. The company will operate from now on under its’ original name, Enigma Distribution.
Founded in 2004 by Jesper Danker and Albin Kristenson, Enigma Distribution distributes boardgames and collectible cards (Pokemon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Adrenalyn XL) and has been a long-standing distributor of the Asmodee Group studios Days of Wonder and Fantasy Flight Games.
The synergy between Asmodee’s catalogue and Enigma Distribution’s operations in the Nordics and in the Netherlands is a great opportunity to bring new games, from the Asmodee Group studios and from all Asmodee partners to these markets.
Thanks to this operation, Asmodee will have a direct access to two of the most important game markets in Europe of a combined size of 240M€.
